Respiratory Illnesses (COVID-19, Influenza, Pertussis, RSV)

Masks are no longer required in Health Services, unless you answer yes to the following questions: (Masks are available at each entrance)

  1. Do you have any Respiratory Illness symptoms?  (cough, fever, shortness of breath)
  2. Are you awaiting a COVID-19 test result?

COVID-19 Information: 

  • Symptoms of COVID-19:  can include fever, cough, shortness of breath, chills, headache, muscle pain, congestion or runny nose, sore throat, fatigue, or loss of taste or smell. Other less common symptoms include stomach symptoms like nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea.
  • COVID-19 Vaccinations: There are three different vaccines available: Pfizer, Moderna, and Novavax (Note: Novavax is only authorized for people 12 years of age and older).
  • COVID-19 Testing: NOTE: Health Services offers COVID-19 testing to students, billable to insurance.  To verify if your insurance will cover testing, please call the number on the back of your insurance card prior to being seen at Health Services. Patients will be billed for any services not covered by their insurance.
  • To order free COVID-19 tests, 4 per household.

INFLUENZA INFORMATION: 

What is Influenza?  Influenza (also known as “flu”) is a contagious respiratory illness caused by influenza viruses. It can cause mild to severe illness, and at times can lead to death. This page provides resources about flu symptoms, complications, and diagnosis.

Pertussis (Whooping Cough) INFORMATION:

What is Pertussis ? Pertussis, or whooping cough, is a disease that affects the lungs. Pertussis bacteria are spread from person to person through droplets produced during coughing or sneezing. A person with pertussis develops a severe cough that usually lasts four to six weeks or longer. Pertussis can be very serious, especially in infants. The best way to prevent pertussis is for all children to be fully vaccinated on time, for adolescents and adults to get a booster shot, and for women to be vaccinated during each pregnancy.
