Jim Shreffler, Psy.D., L.P.

Counselor

I value helping students better understand who they are and who they want to be. I take an interpersonal approach to therapy believing that each student has the ability to change and needs knowledge and support to begin the process to improve their mental health. I work with a variety of concerns including anxiety related challenges, depression, traumatic experiences, difficulty managing emotions, relationship challenges, and interpersonal stress. I have an interest in executive functioning, which is the ability to make decisions, problem solve, pay attention, manage our emotions, organize, and accomplish our goals. I am also available to help students incorporate their spirituality in addressing their concerns.

I am a licensed Psychologist in the state of Minnesota. I graduated from the University of St. Thomas with a Masters and Doctorate in Counseling Psychology.  I graduated with a BA in Psychology from the University of Minnesota, Duluth. Go Bulldogs
