Our COVID RN is available after hours M-F until 6:00 p.m. to take COVID related triage calls. After hours, please call 218-726-8155, press #1 to speak with our nurse.
Flu Clinics on the UMD Campus:

We will be posting our flu consents soon-to expedite your flu clinic process, please print form, complete and bring to your flu clinic appointment.
- COVID screenings will be done when you arrive for your appointment
- Anyone with any COVID related symptoms or exposure will be asked to reschedule (all scheduling changes can be made using the link above)
- FREE to UMD students
- FREE to Staff/Faculty/Dependents over 18 and Retirees who are enrolled in UPlan at UMD. **Please note we are not offering the high dose vaccine. All others who are not enrolled through UPlan should call their local clinic or visit one of the local pharmacies offering flu shots
- To safely provide this service to our campus, patients without an appointment will be taken, but due to increase in COVID activity, an appointment is preferred.
Who are we?
UMD Health Services is a comprehensive health and wellness facility designed to meet the health care needs of today's college students. You can come to our clinic right here on campus for medical services you might otherwise go to your family practice clinic for at home. In addition to medical services, we offer free and confidential counseling appointments. We also provide educational outreach and wellness programs. The mission of our clinic and professional staff is to help students develop healthy personal lifestyles and to provide the services necessary to support academic success.
What services are available right now, during the pandemic?
During the pandemic our operations may have a changed a bit, but we continue to remain open. No walk in appointments are being accepted at this time. You must call Health Services to discuss your concerns/needs before entering the clinic.
We ask you to call our office at 218-726-8155 to discuss services being offered currently. In many cases, appointments may be able to be addressed over the phone with a Health Services provider.
If you are experiencing cough, fever or shortness of breath, have traveled internationally or domestically, or have been exposed to someone with known or suspected COVID-19, it is important that you call Health Services at 218-726-8155 prior to arriving at the clinic. When you come into the clinic, you will use the front door.
We are offering individual therapy, consultation and case management services using Telehealth sessions. To schedule a time to meet with one of our counselors please call 218-726-7913 to get set up for a video (Zoom) or telephone session with one of the counseling staff.
We will also be offering Let's Talk drop-in consultations, grief support groups, and self-care opportunities, virtually. This begins Monday, September 13th, 2021.

What services are offered at UMD Health Services during regular operations?
Physicians, nurse practitioners, and registered nurses are available for medical appointments. If you are taking 6+ credits, your medical consultations are free of charge (no co-pay!). We do bill insurance for tests and procedures to include lab screenings, x-rays, and medical procedures.
Health education and wellness programs are provided for students of the UMD campus community. You can view our current events on our News & Events page. UMD Health Services supports professional health education internships; student graphic artist employment; and active student groups that make an impact on the UMD campus through peer health education.
