I view counseling as a process and “meaning-making” tool that can help broaden the experiencing of self and others. I value that as individuals, we hold unique experiences and skills in thinking, feeling, and reacting within the context of the broader world. Counseling can be a formative place to practice self-care, find deeper meaning, foster growth and learning and to hear your own voice through your unique experience.
As a counselor, I draw from a toolbox of clinical applications that stem from developmental psychology, evidenced-based and trauma-informed interventions, cognitive-behavioral therapy, narrative therapy, and systemic approaches. I have worked in outpatient mental health within educational settings, community mental health, and higher education. Areas of practice include anxiety, depression, psychoeducation, neurodiversity, self-development, trauma, relational issues, and life transitions. I will look forward to continuing to grow and develop skills in evidence-based practices.
In my free time, I love spending time with my family, dog, cats or capturing my love for the natural world somewhere in the woods, mountains, hot springs and large lakes.
